How to Print a MAC Address

The first step in printing your MAC address is to locate it. To find the MAC address, you should open System Preferences from the dock. Then, select Ethernet from the left-hand panel. Select Advanced at the bottom, and you should see the MAC Address listed there. Write down this number.

To get the MAC address of a computer, use the getnode() function, which is defined in the uuid module. The following code example shows how to assign mac_addr_t m1 to m2. The m2 variable contains the same MAC address as m1.

A MAC address is a numeric identifier assigned by the manufacturer of a network card. Most devices have two of them. If you don't know the MAC address of your network card, you can find it by typing c print mac address in your Windows-based Command Prompt.
